Meanwhile, the modernization of the Hospital of the press, which the JN had access, pointing to investments estimated at around four million euros to make improvements in surgical blocks, Burns Unit and cooling areas of internment. The installation of security structures and computerization of services of dietetics and nutrition as well as the creation of an intranet system as a tool for internal links, other improvements are listed in the investment plan of the Hospital of Prel.
"We want to computerize our services and new technologies as a means of communication between the hospital and the patient. The messages via SMS will be one of the means to use", pointed to the JN, and Faria Joaquim Almeida, President of the Board of Management Prelate of the Hospital.
Another novelty of the computerization plan provides for access on the part of doctors, the medical history of patients and their comparison in analytical terms. "Only through the card of the patient, the doctor will have access to clinical information in order to preserve the confidentiality of medical data," he said, the JN, the head of the Hospital of Prel.
In an area of strong growth and with the announcement of several private hospitals across the country, Joaquim de Almeida Faria is optimistic: "We have an enviable occupancy rate of return and the effort has been successful. Our medical teams are authentic miracles" concluded.
The Prelate's Hospital has 35 doctors, 174 nurses and 220 employees, from administrative and support staff. Until now, and just this year, recorded more than 81,500 external consultations and carried out about 10 800 surgeries.
